Mandira Bedi was born in Calcutta to Verinder Singh and Gita Bedi. She is related to the late Teji Singh, the wife of the late Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh. Her older brother is a bank investor. Bedi attended Cathedral and John Connon School in Bombay and graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Bombay. She then completed her post-graduation at Sophia Polytechnic College, Bombay.
